On the way back

The evening after midsummer's eve we walked over to Mum and Dad's for Dad's birthday. We left home at half five, had Lasagne and ice-cream, and were back by half ten - about six miles altogether. It was a lovely evening.

Ideas for a 'chicken adventure' (wonder where that came from?), and one of a series of six nursery rhymes.

We've taken turns at being ill over the last few weeks, so it's all been a bit of a blur (or bleurghh). Our egg collecting was a bit slow too - (we did feed them). N, however was v. pleased to find more than the usual two*. As you can see, he likes his eggs, (to hold, not eat) and getting them off him and into the fridge is the latest 'how can I avoid a tantrum' dilemma.

*some of you may notice that two is less than six - it's a long story, which involves the building of this...
