There's a whole lot of green going on

Bottom picture is a cushion pattern from a book by Erika Knight called 'Simple Knitting' that I borrowed on an eye-opening trip to the library (tons and tons of knitting books).  Living the life eh !?

 I also got out 'Men's Knits a new direction' by the same author.  It's got some really well designed, simple pieces that might actually persuade me to take on something big - I'm eyeing up the tank top at present.

Why do I always get into my knitting groove with just a few days of winter left? 

Slowly but surely, magnolia turns white and biege turns black.  I was holding out some hope for an amazing tiled floor under the biege carpet, but twas not to be.

Given that both me and Jon have done enough sanding of floorboards to last a lifetime, paint was the only way to go.  We just had to decide which colour would hide the most dirt - dog colour won out :)
